Baugh-Bodnark Nuptuals July 24, 1949

My Mom, Betty Jane Baugh (nee Bodnark) on her wedding day, July 24, 1949, at a Methodist church in Indianapolis, Indiana.

My Dad, Robert Milton Baugh, and my Mom on their wedding day. Her dress and bouquet are really beautiful.

The wedding party. From the left, Tracy Culver, (unknown), Frank and Allean Baugh (parents of Robert and Richard), Richard Baugh (brother and best man for Robert), Robert Baugh, Betty Bodnark Baugh, Thelma Culver (sister and maid of honor for Betty), Clara Louise and John Bodnark (parents of Betty and Thelma) and Russ Heavrin.

The wedding cake. My mom kept the ornament on top of the cake and some doves made of sugar for many years. I believe someone ate the doves. I don't know if it was the mice in Tennesee or one of the kids.

Betty and Bob cut the wedding cake. I wonder how long this has been a tradition.

When I was about 6 or 7 my mom had rhinoplasty done to fix her nose. Evidently it had been broken when she was a kid in a softball related accident.

I remember going with her and Dad to the doctor's office one time. I don't know if it was pre or post op but I do remember that I had no idea of what was going on until years later.

Mom

This is a picture of my mom, Betty Bodnark, probably taken before she got married to my dad, Robert Baugh. It would be pre 1948.
